Audition
Percussion Ensemble repertoires are fun but also challenging at certain levels, to ensure students have the necessary skills to play the mallet or percussion parts in a percussion ensemble, auditioning is REQUIRED for the New Students who would like to join:
- Performance Ensemble - Senior (Grade 9-12)
- Performance Ensemble - Junior (Grade 7-8)
- Congas Group (Grade 5-6)
For the new students who hope to join the groups below Grade 5 or Adult Groups, auditioning is NOT REQUIRED.
How to apply and prepare for a live audition?
- Contact the school info@chachapercussion.com to schedule a proper audition date and time, Cha Cha Percussion provides mallet, snare drum and timpani for the auditioning, you are welcomed to bring your own stick or mallet to the audition.

Practice with metronome at home is highly recommended. We are not trying to scare the students; instead, we encourage students to prepare well and to do their best in a casual audition :)
- We will notify the audition result after the audition within 3 days. Students who pass the audition can schedule a trial lesson with the group.
